A Sydney metro-winner in full work and BOBs Extra eligible, Rye proved a popular feature of the catalogue throughout the week and went to a Victorian-based bidder who secured him for $25,000 along with an earlier lot in Carton.
The Matt Dunn-trained six-year-old Carton is a five-time winning son of Guillotine who fetched $10,500.
