Top trainers reaping the benefits of selling with gavelhouse.com

The change to offering fortnightly gavelhouse.com online auctions is proving a valuable move for Kiwi bloodstock buyers and sellers alike.

“With the state of the industry as it is at the moment, it’s saving our owners valuable funds being able reduce costs by moving horses on quickly once the decision is made to sell them,” said 2013/14 champion New Zealand trainer and gavelhouse.com user Lisa Latta.

The Latta stable’s most recent listing Platinum Monarch (pictured) fetched $8,850 after flying past her $2,000 reserve earlier this week.

Fellow Kiwi and champion trainer Chris Waller has also been quick to recognise the benefits of what the site has to offer since its launch in Australia last month, selling horses for up to $25,000 to date. The stable currently has three horses in the site’s Australian auction looking for easier racing environments than the competitive metropolitan jurisdictions his team need to be performing in.

Entries for the next gavelhouse.com New Zealand auction close at 7pm on Monday 30 January. The site offers an easy to use self service listing process with Sales and Marketing Manager Haylie Martin on hand to assist where needed (09 296 4436 or email haylie@gavelhouse.com).
