Two New Zealand-bred broodmares sired by quality broodmare sires in Pins and Pentire are highlights.
Madame Reprieve is a lovely grey Pins mare and while only young has had three foals, she’s been well-mated with youngstock yet to hit the track by Ocean Park, Fiorente and Reward For Effort. She is out of the winning mare Lasting Luck, a half-sister to stakes-winners Scenic Warrior and Stanzaic.
Nickname is by Pentire, the sire of hardy multiple Group One winners the likes of Mufhasa and Xcellent and the broodmare sire of the outstanding galloper Shoot Out. She is offered on an unreserved basis as her owner has two fillies from this line and is looking to reduce numbers. Out of the winning mare by Just Tops, other names that feature down the dam’s page include Card Shark, Peggy Ann and Mr O’Ceirin.
Lot 1 (pictured) is a well-developed filly with great strength through her shoulder and hindquarter by 2YO Magic Millions Classic race winner Unencumbered while in the racehorse section is Miss Dora. A lightly raced mare with having had only 10 starts for a win and three placings. She has been spelling since her win last start (February 26) and is now ready to go again. A sea change could no doubt see this mare improve even further.
