The conclusion of gavelhouse.com’s most recent fortnightly auction in Australia last night saw a new top-price reached with Krusty, a Sydney metro-winning son of Sebring, fetching $75,000.

Offered on account of trainer Joe Pride, the progressive three year old has raced in consistent good form of late and will continue racing in Australia.

Sun Stud also enjoyed a successful sale, offering three two year olds surplus to their racing team’s requirements with Huang Zhong fetching their top price of $15,500. The Wanted gelding carried some good form from his four starts to date including finishing second to Gerald Ryan’s smart Snitzel colt Trapeze Artist, the subsequent winner of the Gr.3 Black Opal before finishing sixth in the Gr.1 Golden Slipper and third in the Gr.1 Inglis Sires.

Other sales of note since the site’s launch in Australia in November include the $54,000 sale of a mare and foal package while other racing stock has sold for up to $34,500 from the stables of the likes of Chris Waller, Gerald Ryan, Mark Kavanagh and Anthony Cummings among others.

With the backing of parent company New Zealand Bloodstock the gavelhouse.com team has the privilege of drawing on the company’s experienced bloodstock agents to provide valuations plus an extensive international network of buyers to cater targeted marketing campaigns to.

Entries for the next gavelhouse.com Australia fortnightly auction are due at 7pm (AEDT) Monday 17 April while the next New Zealand auction is set to go live tonight and will run until 7pm NZ time on 17 April.
