Another Win for gavelhouse.com Graduate Scandalo

scandalogavelhouse.com NZ graduate Scandalo notched up his second win for owner and trainer Patrick Campbell, getting home in style in the Hawke’s Bay Owners Association 1200m on Saturday at Hastings.

Purchased off the gavelhouse.com site as a lightly raced maiden galloper back in January for $15,000, Campbell commented on his performance at the weekend, “I was confident he would run well but was a bit worried the distance might have been too short for him so we are pleased with the result.”

“He will go out to spell now and resume work in time to be ready for the Spring Carnival in Hastings come August.”

Sold on account of Southern trainer Brian Court, the son of the stakes-placed Savabeel mare Grandissima had seven starts for five placings proving he was a progressive stayer in the making.

Sired by the Melbourne Cup winner Shocking, Scandalo has continued his form under new ownership with two wins and a second at Trentham from just five starts, making back his purchase price and more with earnings of $24,750 in prize money.
