This year marks the first running of the Group 1 Tarzino Trophy, known as the Makfi Challenge Stakes for the last six years, and hosted by the Hawke’s Bay Racing Club both organisations are pleased to again partner with the Cancer Society on Tarzino Trophy Daffodil Raceday.
To help raise funds for the Cancer Society, Westbury are donating each saddlecloth worn in the Tarzino Trophy, the first Group 1 race of the season in the southern hemisphere, which will be auctioned off with all proceeds to be donated to this remarkable charity.
The auction will commence on 12 September with bidding closing on 18 September on gavelhouse.com.
The Group 1 Tarzino Trophy Daffodil Raceday will run on Saturday 2 September at Hastings Racecourse.
