gavelhouse.com graduate Machu Picchu (pictured) earned her first win under new ownership in the Edgell Handicap 1400m on Sunday at Sunshine Coast.
Having placed in her last two starts she deservedly notched up her third career win collecting $10,400 in prize money and taking her total earnings to over $26,000 in prize money and $1,250 in bonuses from only 15 starts.
The Krupt mare was sold on gavelhouse.com Australia back in March as an unreserved last start winner. Purchased by owner Brian Laherty for $1,850 she has reaped quick rewards from her six starts for two placings and a win earning back more than seven times her purchase price.
Meanwhile, Sidonia Miss, a lightly raced mare by Myboycharlie showed promise when she placed second in the Hutcheon and Pearce Maiden 1600m on Sunday at Wagga.
Racing from the back of the field she ran forward well at the 800m to place second by less than a length collecting $3,775 in prize money.
Purchased at the affordable price of $600 in the May auction she has had just three starts under new trainer Christopher Davis and is proving a smart purchase with her improving form.
