Laura Petersen joins gavelhouse.com team

IMG_1978The gavelhouse.com team has expanded with Laura Petersen joining the team as a Sales and Marketing Representative based in Cambridge.

The role is a combination of Laura’s passion for the thoroughbred industry and her three years’ experience in the design industry.

Having completed a Bachelor of Textile Design majoring in Interior Design, Laura gained valuable experience in the textile industry in design and marketing roles.

A subsequent return to her original equine passion saw Laura then work for Windsor Park Stud’s racing barn for two years before more recently spending a sabbatical overseas riding out for Luca Cumani and Sir Michael Stoute.

On her return to New Zealand, Laura pursued an opportunity to work with the team at gavelhouse.com commenting, “I feel like I’ve hit the ground running, joining the team at gavelhouse.com is a great sense of achievement for me.”

gavelhouse.com General Manager Haylie Martin is thrilled with the team’s new addition “A sales and marketing role with us perfectly combines Laura’s professional skills with her passion for thoroughbreds and racing and makes her a fantastic addition to the gavelhouse.com and wider New Zealand Bloodstock team.”

Based in Cambridge, Laura also rides track-work in the mornings for Tony Pike Racing and is enjoying riding out on a new addition to the Pike team in gavelhouse.com graduate, Gr.1 performer Endean Rose, “Endean Rose sold for six figures in February on gavelhouse.com and it’s a real thrill to now have the privilege of riding her.”

Entries for the next gavelhouse.com New Zealand auction close at 7pm on Monday 12 March with Laura able to be contacted to assist with listings via laura@gavelhouse.com or +64 27 419 7471
