Two gavelhouse.com Australia graduates saluted over the weekend with Rocksetta putting on a fine display with a 3.3L win at Rockhampton, banking $9,100 in his first start for his new connections.
Offered on account of Mark Kavanagh Racing, the son of Fastnet Rock sold for $12,000 to Roma-based trainer Craig Smith who syndicated him among stable clients.
“I’ve been impressed with what Rocksetta’s shown us to date and am hoping he can continue to pay his way,” commented Smith.
Meanwhile in Darwin, Dark Whirlwind, a $7,250 buy from Sun Stud, notched up his second win for trainer Shane Clarke, taking his earnings for the stable for $26,750.
