gavelhouse.com Australia graduate Mister McIlroy rewarded connections with his second win at Goulburn on Friday.

Formerly trained by Chris Waller, the Fastnet Rock gelding was sold having not measured up to city class however he’s certainly fulfilling expectations from the stable of Garry Neale with two wins and two placings to date, returning $26,210 off the back of his $11,000 purchase price in November.

Another former Waller galloper sold on gavelhouse.com provided a healthy return for his connections when running second at Rosehill on Saturday.

Pianissimo now races from the stable of Warwick Farm-based Richard Litt who bought the Northern Meteor gelding online for $20,050. Although not having won since his purchase, he’s raced with credit in the competitive Sydney metro circuit and has since returned $61,860 in the past six months.

The current gavelhouse.com Australia auction features 18 Lots including a Zebedee weanling colt, racing stock and breeding stock with mares in foal to Dream Ahead and Divine Prophet. The sale is set to close from 7pm AEST tonight, Monday 18 June.
