$600 buy Sidonia Miss earns quick returns


gavelhouse.com Australia graduate Sidonia Miss earned her first win over the weekend in the 1800m race at Berrigan.

The lightly raced Myboycharlie mare sold back in May for $600 and has since won over $7,400 in prize money.

Under new trainer Christopher Davies Sidonia Miss had three starts in $20,000 maiden races where she placed a smart second in the Hutcheon and Pearce Maiden Plate over 1600m.

With an increase in distance she stepped up to take the win in her fourth start and a $3,340 share in the prize pool.

Out of the Flying Spur mare Isla Margarita who is a half-sister to Group 1 winner CANNSEA and daughter of multiple Group winner BEACHSIDE.

Sidonia Miss is a full sister to three time winner My Boy Eagle.

From a family of Group winners and performers her pedigree adds to her appeal as a quality breeding prospect after her racing career.

Entries for the next gavelhouse.com Australia auction are due Monday 4 September at 7pm AEST. The catalogue will go live on Tuesday 5 September with bidding set to close on Monday 11 September from 7pm AEST.
